As city executive for New York City for the international engineering and design firm Arcadis, Peter Glus manages large-scale environmental projects, from implementing flood resiliency designs for subway stations, tunnels, bus depots, and public areas for the Metropolitan Transportation Authority, to repairing and flood-proofing the Bay Park sewage treatment plant, and managing the $1.6 billion New York City Department of Environmental Protection Hillview Reservoir program, among other major projects. He earned his BS in civil engineering from Columbia University and his ME in environmental engineering from Manhattan College, and today has more than 20 years of experience as a professional engineer in New York City. Arcadis is the premier sponsor of the Waterfront Alliance’s annual Waterfront Conference on May 12, as well as the sponsor of the conference’s two newest programs this year: Waterfront Scholars and the Deep Dives interactive discussion series leading up to the conference.
